Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach

Position: Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach
School: Central Christian School
Location: Sharpsburg
Reports To: Athletic Director

Position Overview

Central Christian School is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered leader to serve as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a competitive basketball program that reflects the school's mission of excellence in academics, athletics, and spiritual growth. This individual will mentor student-athletes, promote character development, and build a program that honors Christ on and off the court.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the varsity boys basketball program.
  • Develop practice plans, game strategies, and player development programs.
  • Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Mentor student-athletes spiritually, academically, and athletically.
  • Coordinate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, budgeting, and program needs.
  • Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, faculty, and administration.
  • Promote and support the mission, vision, and values of Central Christian School.
  • Encourage multi-sport participation and positive school involvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all league and school policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous coaching experience at the varsity, collegiate, or high school level preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes and families.
  • Commitment to Christian education and biblical principles.

Position Overview

Central Christian School is seeking a dedicated, Christ-centered leader to serve as the Head Middle School 9-Man Football Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for introducing and developing student-athletes in the fundamentals of football while fostering spiritual growth, character development, teamwork, and a love for competition. This position plays a vital role in building the foundation for the Crusader football program and preparing student-athletes for future success at the varsity level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the Middle School 9-Man Football program.
  • Teach and develop football fundamentals, skills, and techniques appropriate for middle school athletes.
  • Plan and conduct practices that emphasize player development, safety, discipline, and teamwork.
  • Create a positive, Christ-centered environment that promotes sportsmanship and personal growth.
  • Develop game plans and manage team operations during contests.
  • Collaborate with varsity and athletic department leadership to ensure program continuity and development.
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, faculty, and administration.
  • Monitor and encourage academic success among student-athletes.
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of Central Christian School.
  • Ensure compliance with all school, league, and athletic department policies.
