Middle School Geography Bee is part of the Middle School Academic Day with regions all over Georgia.

10/17/2024 - The Kings Academy (Woodstock)

10/21/2024 - First Academy (Douglas)

10/22/2024 - Lafayette Christian (Lagrange)

10/30/2024 - Killian Hills (Lilburn)

General Information

• Students in grades 5th-8th
• Geography Bee will be held during the Middle School Academic Days for Region competition.
• Individual event MS students
• A school may send 6 students 
• Students will have 3 preliminary rounds then the top 12 will move on to Semis and top   
    6 to Finals
• Medals are given to the top two finalists and the top six will go to the state competition
• Questions will be read and answered on Socrative (an online educational app)
• Three rounds of 12 questions each will be played for a total of 36 questions in the preliminary rounds, presented simultaneously.
  • The questions will be broken down as follows:
    • 12 American Geography
    • 12 World Geography
    • 12 Bible Geography

Morning: 9-12ish (History, Essay and Math will run concurrently)

Lunch Break (time will be determined by the Host School)

Afternoon: 12ish-3 (Geography Bee & Spelling will run concurrently)
